We have an excellent runner named Max O'Keefe in 4th Class. He competed this year in the Para Athletics Munster Games, the Nationals and the South East Games. He won 3 bronze medals in the Munsters (shot put, javelin and discus). He won 3 gold (javelin, discus and shotput) and 3 bronze (ambulant 100m & 200m, long jump) in the Nationals. He won 1 gold (javelin), 1 silver (long jump) and 1 bronze (ambulant 200m) in the South East Games. Max had a tough job wearing all those medals as you can see in the picture!
Max also ran in the Cronans AC Open Cross Country Sports Day in Spancilhill on Sunday, the 15th of September. He received a big trophy and is pictured below with some Clare hurlers who also attended the event.
